RBI Officer Grade B 2024 Notification

The Reserve Bank of India recently published a short RBI Officer Grade B 2024 recruitment notification. According to the short notification, there are 94 total vacancies to be filled through this recruitment. Eligible candidates can apply online from 25th July to 16th August 2024. The RBI Grade B officers will be recruited for the General (DR), DEPR, and DISM posts. The selection of RBI Grade B officers will be done through three stages, which are Preliminary exam, main exam, and Interview.

RBI Grade B 2024 Eligibility

The RBI Grade B eligibility criteria consist of age limit, educational qualifications, and number of attempts. The post-wise RBI eligibility criteria are provided below:

RBI Grade B Educational Qualification

  1. RBI Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR)–(General): Graduation in any discipline /Equivalent technical or professional qualification with minimum 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD applicants) or PostGraduation in any discipline / Equivalent technical or professional qualification with minimum 55% marks (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD applicants) in aggregate of all semesters / years.
  2. RBI Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR)–DEPR: A Master’s Degree in Economics / Econometrics / Quantitative Economics / Mathematical Economics / Integrated Economics Course/ Finance from a recognised Indian or Foreign University /Institute, with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters /years; OR PGDM/ MBA Finance with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters /years from a recognised Indian or Foreign University /Institute.
  3. RBI Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR)–DSIM: Master’s Degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Econometrics/ Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Kharagpur/ Applied Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Bombay with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade (aggregate of all semesters/years) OR Master’s Degree in Mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade and a one-year postgraduate diploma in Statistics or related subjects from a reputed institute.

RBI Grade B 2024 Phase II Exam Pattern

  • There are three separate papers in the RBI Grade B mains exam.
  • Candidates applying for RBI Grade B Officers in Gr B (DR)- General, have to appear for Paper I, II, and III.
  • Candidates applying for RBI Grade B Officers in Gr B (DR)- DEPR & DSIM, have to appear for Paper-II and III.
  • Paper I & III will be 50% Objective & 50 % descriptive, while Paper- II will be Descriptive only.
  • Each paper will be of 100 marks each.
  • The English paper will be a descriptive test.

RBI Officer Grade B 2024 Admit Card

Candidates who intend to take the exam must obtain their RBI Grade B Admit Card from the direct link or the official website. Candidates will receive their admit cards for the RBI Grade B Exam separately for Prelims and Mains. Candidates who successfully submit their RBI Grade B Online Application Form will be issued a Prelims Call Letter, and candidates who qualify for the prelims round of the RBI Grade B 2024 Exam will be issued a Mains Admit Card.

RBI Officer Grade B 2024 Result

The Reserve Bank of India will release the RBI Grade B Result for the Prelims Exam shortly after the Prelims Exam is completed. The marks obtained by candidates in the RBI Grade B Exam in Preliminary, Main Exam, and Interview will be available on the Bank’s website only after the final result is announced. After the interview process is completed, the merit list is created in descending order of the marks obtained by candidates.
