The HTET Exam Date 2026 is expected to be held from 30th to 31st May 2026. HTET Exam Date 2026
As of now, there has been no official confirmation of the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2026 exam date. However, BSEH Chairman Dr. Pawan Kumar stated during a press conference that the HTET exam is likely to be conducted on 30th to 31st May 2026, following the declaration of the state board results. Candidates who have successfully enrolled for the HTET exam are eligible to attend the examination.

The HTET 2026 notification was published on 24 December 2025. The Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test 2026 can be found on the official website, and the application link will be provided below. The HTET exam date for 2026 is expected to be 30th to 31st May 2026.

Minimum Educational Qualifications
As per the notification, the minimum educational qualifications for the HTET 2026 are provided below:
HTET Primary Teacher (PRT) (Level-I):
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and Passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and Passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed OR appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed OR appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR
- Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
- Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or Sr. Secondary / Graduation / Post Graduation with Hindi as one of the subjects.
HTET Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) (Level-II):
1) TGT Social Studies
- i) B.A./B.Com and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education; OR B.A. /B.Com with at least 50% marks and 2 years Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) OR
- B.A. /B.Com with at least 45% marks and 2-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) OR

- B.Sc. with at least 45% marks and 2 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard; OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed.); OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.Sc. Ed.; OR

- (i) Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in English as a compulsory or elective or Core or Honours subject and English as a teaching subject in BTC/JBT/D.Ed. (Diploma in Education )/Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.); OR
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in English as a compulsory or elective or Core or Honours subject and English as a teaching subject in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)/ B.Ed. (Special Education) ; OR
- Four Years Bachelor’s in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) with at least 50% marks in English Subject; OR

5) TGT Hindi
- (i) B.A. with at least 50% marks in Hindi as an elective subject and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education; OR
- B.A. with at least 50% marks as well as in Hindi as an elective subject and 2 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.); OR
- B.A. with at least 45% marks as well as 50% marks in Hindi as an elective subject and 2 years Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.),; OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed.); OR

- B.A. with at least 45% marks as well as 50% marks in Sanskrit as an elective subject and 2 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.); OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed.); OR

HTET Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) (Level-III):
(X) PGT Political Science
- (i) M.A. Political Science or M.A. Public Administration with at least 50% marks from a recognized university and B.Ed. from a recognized university.
- (ii) Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or 10+2/B.A./M.A. with Hindi as one of the subjects; AND
- (iii) Consistent good academic record.
(xi) PGT Sanskrit
- (i) (a) M.A. in Sanskrit or Acharya with at least 50% marks from a recognized university; and
- (b) Shiksha Shastri or Language Teacher Course or Oriental Training in Sanskrit from a recognized university or Conducted by Haryana Education Department or B.Ed. from a recognized university; and”.
- (ii) Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or 10+2/B.A./M.A. with Hindi as one of the subjects; AND
- (iii) Consistent good academic record.
(xii) PGT Biology
- (I) M.Sc. Zoology/ Botany/ Bio-Sciences/ Bio-Chemistry/ Genetics/ Micro-Biology/ Plant Physiology/ Biotechnology/ Life Sciences/

- (i) M.Sc. Physics/ Applied Physics/ Nuclear Physics/ Electronics Science/ Electronics with at least 50% marks and B.Ed. from a recognized university;
- (ii) Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or Sr. Secondary / Graduation / Post Graduation with Hindi as one of the Subjects.
(xiv) PGT Chemistry
- (i) M.Sc. Chemistry or Bio-Chemistry with at least 50% marks from a recognized university and a B.Ed. from a recognized university;
- (ii) Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or Sr. Secondary / Graduation / Post Graduation with Hindi as one of the Subjects.
(xv) PGT Mathematics
- (i) M.A./M.Sc. Math/Applied Mathematics with Mathematics as one of the subjects at the Graduation level with at least 50% marks from a recognized university and a B.Ed. from a recognized university;
- (ii) Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or Sr. Secondary / Graduation / Post Graduation with Hindi as one of the Subjects
(xvi) PGT Commerce
- (i) M. Com with accounting/Cost accounting/financial accounting as a major subject of study with at least 50% marks and a B.Ed. from a recognized university. Holders of degree of M. Com in applied/Business Economics shall not be eligible;
- (ii) Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or Sr. Secondary / Graduation / Post Graduation with Hindi as one of the subjects.
(xvii) PGT Economics
- (i) M.A. Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics with at least 50% marks and B.Ed. from a recognized university;
- (ii) Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or Sr. Secondary / Graduation / Post Graduation with Hindi as one of the Subjects.
(xviii) PGT Music
- (i) M.A. in Music with at least 50% marks and B. Ed from recognized university;

(xix) PGT Fine Arts
- (i) M.A. Fine Arts with at least 50% marks and B. Ed from a recognized university;

(xx) PGT Computer Science
- (i) M.Sc. Computer Science (Regular two-year course) / MCA (Regular three-year course) / B.E./ B.Tech. Computer Science / Computer Engg. / IT (Regular course) with 55% aggregate marks from a recognized university;
- (ii) Matric with Hindi / Sanskrit or 10+2/B.A./M.A. with Hindi as one of the subjects.
(xxi) PGT Physical Education
- (i) M.A. Physical Education or M.P.Ed. with at least 50% marks, and Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) or Diploma in Physical Education (D.P.Ed.) or its equivalent from a recognized University.
- (ii) Matric with Hindi / Sanskrit or 10+2/B.A./M.A. with Hindi as one of the subjects.
HTET Eligibility 2026 | Age Limit
The age range for the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) is 18 to 38 years. This means that on the day of the exam, candidates must be at least 18 years old and no older than 38 years old. Candidates must be at least 18 years old. To take the HTET exam 2026, candidates must be under the age of 38.

Haryana TET 2026 Selection Process
Haryana TET 2026 is a State Teacher Eligibility Test of Haryana. By taking this exam, candidates are eligible for further exams like Haryana PRT, Haryana TGT, and Haryana PGT.
HTET Exam 2026 Exam Pattern
The HTET 2026 exam pattern for level 1, level 2, and level 3 is given below:
- There will be only one paper.
- All questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each carrying one mark with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct.
- A total of 150 Questions will be asked.
- Total time: Two-and-a-half hours (2.5 hours) will be given.
- There will be no negative marking.
HTET Qualifying Marks:
- For all Categories except Scheduled Castes and Differently abled/Physically Challenged: 60% (90 Marks).
- For Scheduled Castes and Differently abled/Physically Challenged of Haryana Domicile: 55% (82 Marks).
- For Scheduled Castes and Differently abled/Physically Challenged of Other States: 60% (90 Marks).

The HTET Admit Card will be released before the HTET exam 2026. The board releases HTET Exam dates on the official website.
How to Download HTET Admit Card 2026?
The steps to download the HTET admit card are as follows:
- Visit the official website https://bseh.org.in/home
- In the middle of the screen, there is a ‘News’ Section.
- In this section, click the HTET Admit Card link.
- After that, fill in the required details and download your Admit Card.
- Don’t forget to keep a printout of your admit card.
HTET 2026 Answer Key
The HTET 2026 Answer Key will be released after conducting the exam. Usually, the answer keys are uploaded by the conducting boards 15 to 20 days after the examination:
- After the Examination, the answer keys of levels 1, 2, and 3 will be uploaded on the Board’s website www.bseh.org.in.
- There is a provision for the candidates to file an objection to the Answer Keys through the link available on the Board’s website.
- A fee of Rs. 1000/- per question will be required to be submitted.
HTET Exam 2026 Result
The Board of Secondary Education, Haryana (BSEH) will release the HTET Exam 2026 results online at haryanatet.in, the official website. Candidates who take the HTET exam can access the Haryana TET result by entering their registration number and password. The name of the candidate, as well as the district code and center, will be available in the HTET Result 2026.

HTET Exam Date 2026 | FAQs:
Ans. The Validity Period of the HTET qualifying certificate for appointment will be seven years from the issuance date of the certificate for all levels.
Ans. There is no restriction on the number of attempts a person can make to acquire an HTET certificate.
Ans. Candidates who have already qualified for HTET will have the option to appear in the fresh HTET to improve their score if they so desire.
Ans. If the result of HTET is declared late or revised on the part of the candidate, then the validity of the certificate will be considered from the date of declaration of the main result.
