The High Court of Jharkhand has released a notification calling for online applications for the role of English Stenographer. According to the notification, candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for these positions from March 1, 2024, to March 31, 2024. The purpose of the recruitment drive is to fill a grand total of 399 vacancies. Among these opportunities, 397 are specifically designated for English Stenographers within the Civil Courts scattered throughout the State of Jharkhand. Furthermore, an additional 2 exclusive positions are available for skilled English Stenographers at the prestigious Judicial Academy Jharkhand, situated in Ranchi.

JHC Typist & Stenographer 2024 Selection Process

The selection process for the Jharkhand High Court English Stenographer Recruitment 2024 is designed to evaluate the abilities and suitability of candidates for the role of an English Stenographer.

• Stenography and Typing Test (90 Marks) – The initial phase of the selection process is the Stenography and Typing Test. A stenography speed of 80 words per minute to transcribe spoken words accurately and efficiently. An English typing speed of 40 words per minute is essential for preparing written documents and correspondence.
• Personal Interview (10 Marks) – Candidates who score well in the Stenography and Typing Test will be invited to a Personal Interview. This stage is allocated 10 marks and allows candidates to showcase their communication skills, personality, and overall suitability for the role.
• Document Verification – Successful candidates from the Personal Interview will undergo Document Verification. During this stage, candidates must present original documents and certificates for verification.
• Medical Examination – The final stage of the selection process is the Medical Examination. Candidates who have successfully passed the previous stages will be subjected to a medical examination to ensure they meet the health standards required for the position.
