• To be eligible for the UGC NET examination, candidates must hold a postgraduate degree from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
• Candidates belonging to reserved categories are given a relaxation of 5% in the educational qualification.
• Additionally, candidates who have successfully cleared the State Eligibility Test (SET) before June 1, 2002, are exempted from appearing for the UGC NET examination
