According to Eligibility Criteria A candidate must be physically fit for the post of UP Forest Guard. The UPSSSC Forest Guard eligibility criteria consists of age limit, education qualification and physical standards. Therefore, all the three eligibility criteria are discussed below:
Educational Qualification
Candidate must have passed class 10th (secondary) or 12th (higher secondary) from the Uttar Pradesh Educational Board or any other recognized board/institute, moreover, having a UP PET 2025 scorecard.

Physical Standards
UPSSSC Forest Guard written examination qualified candidates will be screened for Physical Measurement Test (PMT) i.e. Height, Chest and Weight measurements. The candidate will be eliminated if he does not meet the required physical standards. So, all the details related to the physical fitness eligibility are in the table below-

- Minimum 5 cm expansion of the chest for males. The chest size given is separate and these 5 cm expansions have to be done separately.
Note: Candidates clearing the Physical Standard Test will be called for the Physical Efficiency Test. The commission has laid down certain ground rules for the candidates to undergo the Physical Efficiency Test.
- The Male candidates have to run for 25 Kms with a weight of 10 Kgs in 4 hours,
- Whereas the female candidates have to run for 10 km with the same weight and for the same duration.

The UP Forest Guard written test covers all 4 subjects, and the total marks are 100. Furthermore, all the details are given below-
- Each question is worth 1 mark.
- Total duration of the exam is 2 hours (120 minutes)
- Then, there is a 1/4 mark negative marking in this exam.
