UTET EXAM 2024

Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test (UTET) 2024 is conducted by the Uttarakhand Board of Secondary Education (UBSE) an eligibility test for candidates who wish to teach classes 1-8 in Uttarakhand. The exam will be held on 26th October 2024. Interested candidates can apply from 23/07/2024 to 17/08/2024.

UTET Notification 2024

The Uttrakhand Board of School Education released the UTET 2024 notification on the official website.  According to the official UTET Notification 2024, the UTET Online Form 2024 will remain open from July 23 to August 17, 2024. Candidates can pay the UTET Application Fee through the online mode till August 19, 2024. UTET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The UTET Eligibility requirements are specified in terms of the candidate’s age limit, educational qualification, nationality, etc. Check the details of the same in this section.

UTET Educational Qualification

UTET Eligibility for Primary Teachers (Classes 1-5)

The candidates who wish to teach primary classes must have the following qualifications:

  • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (B.T.C./D.El.Ed.) or
  • Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (B.T.C./D.El.Ed) or
  • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) or
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education.) or
  • Graduation (or its equivalent) and passing or appearing in the final year of two two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (B.T.C./D.El.Ed.) or
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.)
  • Shiksha Mitra passed a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.)

UTET Eligibility for Upper Primary Teachers (Classes 6-8)

Candidates who wish to teach elementary classes must have the following qualifications:

  • Graduation (or its equivalent) and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education (B.T.C./ D.El.Ed.) or
  • Graduation (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed/L.T./Shiksha Shastri (Regular)) or
  • (Graduation (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed/L.T./Shiksha Shastri (Regular)), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations or
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) or
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed or
  • Graduation (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passing or appearing in the final year of B.Ed. (Special Education) or
  • At least 50% marks either in Graduation or Post-Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)).

UTET Nationality

Candidates must be nationals of India i.e. citizens of India. They must be able to provide the required, valid, government-issued, or authorized documents to prove their citizenship or residency in the country.

UTET Age Limit

The age of the candidates shall not be more than 38 years and not less than 18 years.

UTET Admit Card 2024

UTET Admit Card 2024 will be released soon on the UBSE website a few days before the exam. Candidates appearing for the Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test (UTET)  must download. Candidates need to carry a hard copy of the UTET 2024 admit card on the day of the examination.

UTET Answer Key 2024

UTET Answer Key will be released soon. Candidates can use the answer key to verify the correct responses and estimate their approximate scores in the exam. The UTET answer key 2024 is available as a PDF file separately for Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates who qualify for the written exam will then have to appear for a personal interview round. Only after qualifying for the personal interview round, the selection of the candidates will be finalized.

UTET Result 2024

UTET Results will be announced soon after the exam is conducted. Candidates who appeared for the Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test (UTET) can download their results from the official website of the Uttarakhand Board of Secondary Education or using the direct link in this article. Candidates need to fill in some required information such as – registration number and password or roll number and date of birth on the official website of the board to access their results.

Q1.How many marks are required to qualify for UTET?

Ans. The UTET general category candidates must obtain 60% marks i.e., 90 Out Of 150 marks to secure the UTET Certificate. Candidates belonging to the OBC/SC/ST category need to get 55% marks i.e., 82 Out Of 150

Q2.Is there a negative marking in UTET?

Ans. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.

Q3. What is the minimum qualification for UTET?

Ans. A minimum of 50% marks in Senior Secondary (Class 12) with a Teacher Eligibility Certificate (TC) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed) from a recognized university.
