The UPSC IFS Notification 2024 was made public by the Union Public Service Commission, February 14, 2024 for 150 vacancies. UPSC IFS 2024 Application Fee

For the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, candidates must pay a fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred Only) (with the exception of Female/SC/ST/PwBD candidates, who are exempt from paying the fee). 

They can pay the fee in cash at any SBI branch, or they can use the State Bank of India’s net banking facility, Visa, Master, RuPay Credit/Debit card, UPI Payment, or Internet banking from any bank.

UPSC IFS 2024 Eligibility

The examination authority has made the eligibility requirements and age limit public. Candidates can see the official notification for additional information if they are interested.

Educational Qualification:  

• A bachelor’s degree in at least one of the following subjects is required of a candidate: Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, or any equivalent degree from an accredited university in Agriculture, Forestry, or Engineering.

Age Limit: 

• On August 1st, 2024, the candidate must not have been older than 21 years old or older than 32 years old.

Union Public Service Commission has announced 1206 vacancies to be filled through UPSC CSE & IFS Exam 2024. Through UPSC Civil Service Examination 2024, 1056 vacancies are expected to be filled and through Indian Forest Service Examination 2024, 150 vacancies are to be filled.

The UPSC Indian Forest Services Exam has two exams Prelims and Mains.

Union PSC Forestry Prelims Exam Details:

• Questions will be set in both English and Hindi.
• The IFS Forestry Exam questions will be of Multiple Choice (Objective Type).
• Paper II of Civil Services Forestry (Prelims Examination) is the qualifying paper.
• The Fixed Minimum Qualifying marks are at 33%.
• The Prelims Examination will be with Total 400 marks (Paper I & II) and exam duration each of Two Hours (Paper I, Paper II).

The candidates preparing for the UPSC IFS 2024 exam can follow these strategies to clear the exam:

• Start from the scratch, preparing each and every topic form the basics and then move forward towards the complex ones.
• Do not leave any topic. Each and every topic is equally important.
